The peanut butter and jelly sandwich has been the traditional American snack since before you were born. It’s delicious, nutritious and easy to make, it will satisfy your hunger and it only takes a minute or two to create. So if you have time to spare, pull up a chair, butter knife, peanut butter, jelly and bread.
Before we begin, make sure you have the necessary ingredients. A jar of peanut butter, a jar of jelly, a plate, a butter knife, and bread will do. You can choose the different types of the ingredients; chunky or smooth peanut butter, different types of jelly and different types of bread. So let’s begin, remove two pieces of bread from the bag and place them on the plate next to each other. Then open the jar of peanut butter, use the knife and scoop out about a spoonful of its contents or what you think is enough, you can always go back for more later, gently spread it on one piece of bread evenly, until the entire piece is covered, if you feel you don’t have enough, this is the time to add more. After that, wipe the knife with a napkin and close the jar of peanut butter. Open the jar of jelly, take the knife and take about the same amount that you used for the peanut butter to spread gently on the other piece of bread. But be careful, it’s hard to spread and it may take up a fair amount of time. Gentleness at this point is advised, be very careful and try not to rip the bread. When you feel you have enough jelly on it, close the jar of jelly. Now in one swift movement, place the piece of bread with peanut butter on top of the piece of jelly on it, making the peanut butter side touch the jelly side cut the pieces down the middle and enjoy. You have just made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Good job!
There can always be difficulties involved in making a simple sandwich, the jelly is difficult to spread, and maybe when you spread it too hard you might rip the bread. If that happens, you’re probably going to need a different piece of bread. But even if you rip it on the peanut butter side, just add more peanut butter; it won’t drip off if there is enough.
Now you’ve learned how to make a tasty snack. Fix your hunger and eat it, but before you get too comfortable, pour yourself a glass of milk and sit down and relax. Remember, you can always go back and make another if you’re still hungry.
